What is Reiki ?

Reiki was reintroduced in modern society as an alternative, pseudo-medicine in 1922 by an unknown generational disciple, Mikao Usui, a Japanese Buddhist practitioner. The teachings of Usui Reiki training include, though are not limited to, the channeling of universal energy also known as chi, prana, and qi directing this energy into a patient's system, allowing them to relax, release, and de-stress to find a place love internally to begin themselves; physical, mental and emotional, to enhance their quality of life. The practice of Usui Reiki is generally hands-on or within close distance to the patient's body.

Reiki could be described as waves of emotional happiness, sadness, and depression as well as energies of warmth, coolness, tingling, relaxation, or deep sleep. All sensations are positive, these experiences are “movement & release” of stored energy within the patient's body, releasing and integrating these energies with love and gratitude is the only suggested way to process them. Important to remember, a soul’s experience whether perceived as positive or negative must always be returned/released/integrated with love and gratitude.

A Reiki Master can only provide healing energy during a session when the patient willingly allows it. Negative judgments or pre-disposed doubtful thoughts from a patient regarding their healing session can and will block the transfer of energy to their system, this is the most important aspect to remember.
